&lt;p&gt;I succeed reading a variable whose dimension is 1.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For example:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;int[] value = new int[3135];&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;int valueId;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;nc_open(filePath, CreateMode.NC_NOWRITE, out p);&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;nc_inq_varid(p, checkedItems[i], out valueId); &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;nc_get_var_int(p, valueId, value);&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But when using the netcdf4 to read a variable whose dimension isn't 1,unfortunately,I have no idea to read,could you please give me a hand?&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;dear I'm strongly to import netcdf in a software to work I have firt to add a variable&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I succeed using ncdump to ascii and modify the ascii and with ncgen I recreate the file.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This is nice but I have thousand of file to modify. That why I look to the c#wrapper to do it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;but I m hnaging with this.&amp;nbsp; basicaly I need to add a variable call &amp;quot;Peak_Height&amp;quot; as float with the dimention equal to the peak_number.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;in the following ncdump I have added to make it work in the variable section:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;float peak_heigth(peak_number) ;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;if you have any idea and suggestio to make it with the warpper I ll be very happy.&lt;/p&gt;

J# version from 1.0 release. You should download the C# wrapper in C.1.0

For NetCDF4 a wrapper around C API would be a good solution. In fact we are using one in our recent projects. It's availble now in C.1.0 release.&lt;br&gt;

Are there any plans (or intent) to provide a .NET API based on the upcoming netCDF-4 java implementation? I am looking at options to read/write netCDF from a .NET based application. I am considering using &lt;a href="http://www.ikvm.net"&gt;IKVM&lt;/a&gt;, this project if possible, or even creating&amp;nbsp; wrappers around the C/C++ APIs if needed.&lt;br&gt;
Any advice/news would be welcome.&lt;br&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;Sorry. Been away for a while...&lt;br /&gt;Using this library in C# is a bit tricky. You still need some of vjslib.dll, so you'll have to reference it in your project as well. I have downloaded the netcdf assembly and added as a reference to my project. I now want to create a similar CreateNETCDF app in C# just like the J# one.&lt;br /&gt;Any help on that one?&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Osei&lt;br /&gt;
